TokyoDex News: Friday 5/25, This&That Café Vol. 38 at SuperDeluxe!

Greetings from Tokyo where we are enjoying that “Sweet Spot” right between Spring and Summer.
And as it just so happens, that is the theme of our upcoming periodic signature event This&That Café. The 5/25 event celebrates our favorite time of year with an all-star cast that spans a wide range of expressions, from spring-inspired live flower arrangement, to the early-summer sounds of a surf-rock band.
This will be the last #TnTCafe until Autumn, so be sure not to miss it! Be sure to check out the vibe from the last #TnTCafe that took place in March when we celebrated international Women’s Day with an all female cast.
It is the perfect weather to visit the newly opened Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, where special Johnnie Walker “Striding Man” Art Figures are on display as part of the Hibiya Festival, on now through May 20.
TokyoDex called in two heavy hitters from out of town for this gig—Gunma’s own JONJON GREEN and Osaka-based simo to paint six 2-meter figures on display throughout the outdoor venue. This video shows a behind-the-scenes look at making-of these amazing works of art. (A bit of whisky was also enjoyed in the process! )
That’s all for now. If you haven't already, please take this opportunity to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all of the latest news on our events and new projects.
Thanks always for your support and hope to see you all soon!
