Chupa Chups, well-known for their colorful candy pops with over 100 flavors sold in more than 160 countries worldwide, transformed the Japanese commercial holiday “White Day” into “COLOR DAY.”
As part of their FOREVER FUN brand campaign, on Feb 7th 2020, Chupa Chups installed a four-meter-tall, black-and-white poster advertisement from right off of Shibuya Crossing. Next, we brought Ryo Koizumi (RELISH) and COIN PARKING DELIVERY (CPD) to paint over the poster in bright tones in the midst of the bustling city and complete the message for “HAPPY COLOR DAY.”
According to an individually conducted survey, not many people have memories associated with White Day. This campaign proved White Day does not have to be a “monotonous” holiday for obligatory gifts; it can be an opportunity to show our thanks in our own creative ways!
